How it works

A place for people who've lost work to AI, or are afraid they will, to say it out loud and be heard.

No accounts, no names

You don't sign up and we don't know who you are. Posts are plain text, up to 500 words. Links, photos, emails, phone numbers and @usernames are turned away, and so is anything that could identify a real person.

Gone in 7 days

Every post is deleted after 7 days. Each day's posts are encrypted with that day's key, and the key itself is destroyed on day 8, so even backups can't bring a post back.

Everyone gets heard

New posts go to the front until at least 20 people have seen them. After that, posts are shown at random. There are no likes, rankings or public counts, because this isn't a contest.

Instead of comments, readers can leave one of a few short responses: I hear you, Same here, Hang in there.

Your receipt

When you post, this browser keeps a private receipt. It shows you how many people read your post and how they responded, and lets you delete it early. Nobody else can see it, including us.

Moderation

An automated check reads every post before it appears. Posts that might name a real person, or that the check isn't sure about, wait for a human. Three reports from readers hide a post until a moderator looks at it.

Why this exists

In the first eight months of 2026, US employers publicly attributed 116,175 job cuts to AI, about 22% of all announced layoffs (Challenger, Gray & Christmas, via Carly). Behind each of those is a person who mostly had nowhere to say how it felt.

Keeping the lights on

This is a small side project run by one person. It costs very little to run, and it will never show ads that track you or charge anyone to post. If it helped, you can chip in; the running total is at the bottom of every page.

Contact

Write to our contact address. For takedown or legal requests, please quote the text of the post; we can't look posts up by who wrote them.
